CLEVELAND, OH – June 5, 2023 – Dix & Eaton announced today the changes recently made to its Board of Directors. Chas Withers has been named the Chairman of the Board and will additionally continue in his role as Dix & Eaton’s CEO.
“I am honored to step into the role of Chairman of our Board of Directors, and to carry on the legacy of former chairs Henry Eaton and Scott Chaikin,” said Withers, who became only the third CEO in the firm’s history in 2015. “I’m proud to have the responsibility of honoring and upholding Dix & Eaton’s legacy and its 70-year reputation of excellence, while also building upon our great culture – rooted in our outstanding team – and driving us forward to the next set of opportunities. We have always been focused on staying ahead of market changes and anticipating what will be critically important to our clients in order to advise and support them to the best of our abilities. As a firm, our philosophy is that what got us here won’t get us there – so we are eager to continue looking forward and evolving alongside our clients.”
In addition, Lisa Rose, who serves as the firm’s President and has been with Dix & Eaton for over 27 years, was elected as a Board member. “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on Dix & Eaton’s Board,” she said. “Henry Eaton, our co-founder, prioritized the importance of building trusted partnerships and treating those we work with as people first and clients second. Our firm’s mission is to be an invaluable partner in all relationships, which is more important than ever. As a Board member, I look forward to building on our legacy of creating and maintaining strong relationships with our clients and colleagues, and in our communities.”
As Withers moves into the role of Chairman, Scott Chaikin will become Chairman Emeritus and will retain his position as a Board member. Chaikin, who joined the Board in 1993 and became Chairman in 2000, is also still positioned as a senior advisor to the firm while still being heavily involved in community service and non-profit leadership.
Rose joins current Board members Paul Dolan and Dave Eaton, and fills the seat previously held by James C. Boland, who stepped down after over 20 years of service. “On behalf of all our firm, I can’t thank Jim enough for his invaluable counsel and partnership as a member of our board for more than two decades. His friendship with Henry Eaton went back even further than that, and we were incredibly fortunate to be able to pull upon his acumen and deep community connections,” added Withers.
