CLEVELAND, OH – January 11, 2023 – Dix & Eaton announced today three promotions in the Cleveland-based firm. Joanne Darrah has been promoted to vice president, Vincent Dorsey to senior account executive, and Daijha Johnson to account executive. In addition, Maria Soriano Young has joined the firm as assistant vice president.

Joanne has been with the firm since 2010 and is a key member of the creative team. She brings a client-centric, thoughtful approach with an artistic touch to a wide variety of projects and client engagements.
Vincent first worked with Dix & Eaton as a freelance writer with the firm’s investor relations and sustainability practices before joining full time in 2021. He has quickly formed strong relationships with clients and colleagues and is a valued contributor to the firm’s national ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) practice.
Daijha began her work with Dix & Eaton as an intern and joined the firm in 2021 after graduating from Syracuse University. She has sharpened her skills as a counselor and practitioner, with a heavy focus on research, media relations and ESG/sustainability initiatives and reports. In addition, she is committed to advancing the firm’s initiatives in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEI&B).
In addition, Maria Soriano Young has joined the firm as assistant vice president, bringing over a decade of experience in content development, editing and proofreading across a number of industries. Her career history includes both higher education and health care, and she was previously with the Cleveland Clinic. “Maria is a skilled writer, teacher and trainer with an easy coaching style and approachable manner. She brings a critical skill set and will be a resource for both clients and colleagues with the growing need for quality content.”
About Joanne Darrah
Joanne joined the Dix & Eaton creative team in 2010 and develops and designs strategic solutions for clients across print and digital media. She specializes in brand identity and logo development, website and report design, and digital and print advertising campaigns.
Joanne holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in visual communication design from Kent State University and a bachelor’s degree in middle childhood education from John Carroll University.
About Vincent Dorsey
After spending a short time working as a freelance writer with Dix & Eaton’s investor relations and sustainability practices, Vincent joined the firm full time in 2021. His areas of expertise include ESG communications (including reports and website content), and employee communications. He is also skilled in storytelling and proofreading.
A graduate of The University of Akron’s Honors College, Vincent holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations.
About Daijha Johnson
Daijha officially joined Dix & Eaton in June 2021, after completing a spring internship with the firm and graduating from Syracuse University. Daijha works with clients on media relations, sustainability communications, corporate communications and research projects. She also lends her passion for diversity, equity and inclusion to clients and to the firm.
A graduate of Syracuse University, Daijha holds a Bachelor of Science in public relations and a Bachelor of Arts in political philosophy.

Maria joined Dix & Eaton as assistant vice president of content in November 2022. She brings over 10 years of freelance copyediting and proofreading experience by partnering with colleagues and clients to produce and sharpen content. Her editorial expertise includes applying a critical eye and audience perspective to materials at all stages.
Maria earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Baldwin Wallace University and a Master of Arts in English with a specialization in composition and rhetoric from John Carroll University.
