CLEVELAND, OH—January 21, 2020— Dix & Eaton announced six key promotions and a recent addition to the firm’s staff. The agency has promoted Theresa Allen to controller; Angela Almasy, Joanne Darrah and Nicolle Huffman to assistant vice presidents; Angela Martin to senior account executive; and Cheryl Egan to executive assistant.

In addition to the six promotions, Dix & Eaton also announced the firm has hired Natalie Robson as a content strategist.
About Theresa Allen
As controller, Allen is responsible for auditing and account organization at the firm. Prior to her promotion, she served as a senior accountant where she was responsible for managing accounts both receivable and payable, and played a key role in the preparation of audited financial statements. At Dix & Eaton, Allen specializes in the areas of account reconciliation and financial reports. Allen joined Dix & Eaton in 2008 after serving as a cash applications supervisor with McCarthy, Burgess & Wolf. She graduated from Cleveland State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting.
About Angela Almasy
As an assistant vice president, Almasy brings a high level of experience in the practice areas of sustainability strategy and communications and media relations, two core service offerings for Dix & Eaton. Almasy is certified in the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards for sustainability reporting. She also works in integrated communications, social media strategy and analytics. She joined Dix & Eaton in 2014 as an intern and was hired as an assistant account executive. She was promoted to senior account executive in 2018. Prior to joining Dix & Eaton, Almasy interned at Edelman, a public relations firm in Chicago. Almasy holds a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Akron and a master’s degree in journalism and mass communication with a concentration in public relations from Kent State University.
About Joanne Darrah
As a member of the creative team, Darrah develops and designs strategic and creative solutions across print and digital media. From logo development and brand identity to website design and digital advertising campaigns, Darrah helps her clients with their various communication needs. She holds a B.F.A. in visual communication design from Kent State University and a B.A. in middle childhood education from John Carroll University. Darrah joined Dix & Eaton in 2010 after serving an extensive internship with the firm.
About Nicolle Huffman
As an assistant vice president, Huffman works collaboratively with clients to assess communications needs, develop strategies, implement tactics and proactively measure results against goals. She brings a high level of digital expertise to clients, project management and a collaborative work style that ensures projects deliver on time. Huffman is Google Analytics Certified and specializes in measurement, analytics, digital and print advertising and website development. Huffman joined D&E in 2014 as an account executive and was promoted to senior account executive in 2016. Prior to joining Dix & Eaton, she was with PPG Industries where she managed various internal communication and community affairs initiatives. She graduated cum laude from Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelor of Arts in public relations and minors in Spanish and entrepreneurship.
About Angela Martin
As a senior account executive, Martin serves clients in the areas of sustainability strategy and communications, integrated communications and crisis communications. Martin is certified in the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards for sustainability reporting. She also co-leads the firm’s internship program. Martin joined Dix & Eaton in 2016 and was promoted to account executive in 2018. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an associate customer content specialist with PR Newswire. Martin graduated cum laude from Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism with a bachelor’s degree.
About Cheryl Egan
Egan was promoted from administrative assistant to executive assistant. Egan joined Dix & Eaton in 2011 and has provided administrative support to a broad range of executives at the firm. Before joining Dix & Eaton, Egan held positions at Xerox Global Services as an executive assistant to the Vice President and Morrison Knudsen/H.K. Ferguson’s construction division.
About Natalie Robson
Robson joined the firm in October 2019 with responsibilities for messaging and storytelling related to corporate communications, investor relations, sustainability communications and media relations. Prior to joining the firm, Robson was director of donor engagement at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. Before that, she worked as a news producer for WXII, an NBC affiliate in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Robson holds a master’s degree in journalism from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communications from the University of Connecticut.
