February 6, 2020
As 2020 gets off to a very fast start, it figures to be a transformative year for business, our clients and all of us. The world around us is changing quickly and it’s both exciting and challenging to stay on top of the many shifting trends in technology, communications and talent.
At Dix & Eaton, our passion is to be an invaluable partner in all relationships, and that is hugely important as we navigate these trends. Luckily, we have a wildly talented group of skilled professionals who bring ideas, collaboration and enthusiasm to the relationships they build every single day. We kicked off the year with the announcement of several promotions and I’m delighted to take a moment to recognize these outstanding individuals.
Theresa Allen promoted to controller. Theresa has been with us since 2008 and brings her strong accounting and organization skills to keeping all of us in line. She loves to travel, brings a great sense of humor to all she does and, most importantly, she is a proud mother of a great dancer.
Angela Almasy promoted to assistant vice president. Angela holds a degree in nutrition and dietetics and a master’s in journalism and mass communication with a concentration in public relations. Not only is she disciplined in her fitness routine, she takes the same approach to advancing her expertise in media relations and sustainability to benefit her clients. And she’s a huge Cleveland sports fan.
Joanne Darrah promoted to assistant vice president. Joanne is a creative designer who joined Dix & Eaton after interning with us as she evaluated a significant career shift. We’re so happy she did. She holds a B.F.A in visual communication design and a B.A. in middle childhood education – which comes in handy when working with all of us.
Nicolle Huffman promoted to assistant vice president. Nicolle joined the firm in 2014 after having been a client and has been on a fast track ever since. Nicolle always shows up with a smile and great attitude to everything she does here and is a valued contributor to every team she joins. Plus, she bakes.
Angela Martin promoted to senior account executive. Angela’s many contributions to the firm are remarkable, given that she has been with us only since 2016. She has a deep passion for sustainability, crisis communications and for bringing in great talent through our internship program. She, too, is a huge Cleveland sports fan.
Cheryl Egan promoted to executive assistant. Cheryl joined us in 2011 and has worked with a broad range of executives across the firm. As we say around here, “Who doesn’t love working with Cheryl?” We all find her to be one of the kindest, nicest and calmest people we know.
Natalie Robson hired as content strategist. Last but definitely not least, we hired Natalie this past year. You know that great feeling you get when a candidate interviews and everyone on the team wants to hire her immediately? Yes, that is exactly what happened with Natalie. We know how lucky we are to have her on our team with her great storytelling skills, never-ending smile and can-do attitude.
So, saying that I am excited to kick off 2020 with such a strong group of professionals is an understatement. They join the rest of our dedicated team of professionals who I am extremely proud of and honored to call my colleagues. We’re rolling fast in the first quarter of 2020 and I’m excited to see what develops throughout the year.
