Gale Tedhams has more than 40 years of sustainability and manufacturing experience with Owens Corning. From 2008 to 2018, she was Director of Sustainability, responsible for leading Owens Corning’s global sustainability strategy with a focus on products, green building, supply chain and the company’s goal to be a net positive company. She managed communications on sustainability strategy integration, product marketing and corporate programs such as the integration of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Over the last 10 years, Gale’s team and partners across Owens Corning were instrumental in positioning the company as one of the most highly regarded, sustainable, responsible companies in the world – as measured by the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, CDP, Corporate Responsibility Magazine, Corporate Equality Index and Ethisphere Institute, among others.
Gale became a Dix & Eaton Senior Advisor in 2019, after retiring from Owens Corning. She provides sustainability and ESG (environmental, social and governance) strategy and counsel to executives, functional and operational teams and project leaders. Gale specializes in helping to drive executive engagement, materiality, stakeholder engagement and the continuous improvement journey for sustainability.
Earlier in her career, Gale joined Owens Corning as an environmental engineer with a civil engineering degree from Michigan State University. She held numerous leadership roles across several Owens Corning businesses and functional areas, including manufacturing leadership in both the United States and Europe and global diversity leadership.
