THE CHALLENGE
Momentive Quartz Technologies (MQT), formerly a division of Momentive Performance Materials, was about to become an independent, privately held organization with new ownership. Once day one hit, MQT had 18 months to establish support functions such as HR, IT and Legal all while continuing to serve customers and meet business objectives.
THE STRATEGY & SOLUTION
MQT and Dix & Eaton worked together to develop a proactive change communications strategy, which included the development of a communications function and an implementation plan. Activities included gearing up for the day one milestone, developing monthly CEO messages to all employees, creating transition updates for the support functions, conducting media training and regional media outreach, providing crisis counsel and more.
THE RESULTS
- Supported employees as they moved through the change curve and became part of a new organization
- Prepared the organization to effectively communicate internally and externally
- Created and helped implement a proactive internal communications strategy designed to build trust in the new leadership team
